I, for one have never read any books related to finance. Also, I have not taken up any courses on Finance during my engineering days. Considering all this I can say that my financial knowledge is pretty limited. So, when I came across this book I have little to no expectations from what I'm gonna get from it. I've finished it in two sittings on a single day. This is the very first book in my booklist I would love to have a re-read.
The title of the books goes by "Money Wise: The Aam Aadmi's Guide to Wealth and Financial Freedom", and it really lives up to the title. Sharath being himself has his way with words. Even the most confusing and complicated terms are explained in a very plain and simple English so that even a layman like me with very limited financial knowledge can actually understand the topic.
The narration is quite simple and straight forward. It just
feels like you are having a conversation with an old friend of yours who is
much more knowledgeable than you. A considerable amount of research has gone before/while
writing this book. This is one of the very few books that has got me hooked me
from cover to cover.

The book is so engaging, intriguing and gripping from the first to very last page. Even if you
are an expert in finance, you'll still have something to take away from
Moneywise.
I'm left with one pressing question after I'm finished with
the novel. Why is Financial education not given it's due place in our education
system? I've never gained this amount of information from any book
till date, my acads included!
If you have always wondered(just like me) why the media gets
so frenzy with speculations of rate cuts whenever a meeting by RBI Governor is
scheduled, then Just dwell into the book to find out.
I sincerely hope that a sequel is in pipeline.(Mr.Sharath, pls take a note)
All in all, it is a must read book for all irrespective of
your age, gender and profession. If you deal with money in your day to day life,
then pick this up and you would actually thank me for suggesting this book
